Privacy Policy

How CodeSheet handles your account and study data.

CodeSheet is built to help students prepare for coding interviews. This policy explains in plain English what information we collect, how it is used, and what stays private when you use the site.

1. Browsing Without an Account

You can browse the home page, Company Explorer, company question sheets, the Global Question Bank, individual question pages, and the About, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Use pages without creating an account or signing in.

2. Account Information

When you create an account and sign in, CodeSheet stores:

  • Profile details: Your email address, display name, daily question goal preference, and timezone setting.
  • Password protection: Passwords are protected before being stored and are never saved in plain text.
  • Sign-in sessions: When you sign in, CodeSheet records basic session information—such as your browser or device type, IP address, and session expiration—to keep your session active and help protect your account from unauthorized access.

3. Your Saved Study Data

When you use the signed-in study workspace, CodeSheet saves your question progress (such as whether a problem is to-do, attempted, solved, or marked for revision), personal study notes, bookmarked questions, daily practice activity used for streaks and progress charts, and any custom study sheets you create.

4. How Your Information Is Used

We use the information stored in your account to:

  • Save and sync your study progress across company sheets and question lists.
  • Remember your daily goal and workspace preferences.
  • Keep you signed in securely across visits.
  • Protect accounts, maintain reliability, and prevent misuse or abuse.

5. Privacy of Your Study Workspace

Your personal study progress, notes, bookmarks, activity history, and custom study sheets are linked to your account for your personal workspace. Unlike the public question catalog, your private study records are not publicly listed on the website or indexed by search engines.

6. Cookies and Browser Storage

  • Essential session cookies: CodeSheet uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect your active session when you update your study data. Signing out clears your active session cookies.
  • Theme preference: Your browser storage remembers whether you chose light mode or dark mode so the interface stays consistent on your device.

7. Advertising and Analytics

CodeSheet does not currently display third-party advertisements or run third-party advertising trackers. If advertising or analytics services are introduced in the future to help support the platform, this policy will be updated to explain what information those services use.

8. Third-Party Links

Question pages include links to external coding platforms (such as LeetCode) where you can solve the problems, and creator links point to LinkedIn. When you follow a link to another website, your activity on that site is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.

9. Data Requests and Contact

Self-serve account deletion and data export tools are not currently built into the account interface. If you have questions about this policy or would like to request help with your account data, please visit the About page or contact Krrish Chaturvedi on LinkedIn.
